Storefront basics
Your store is the public face of your business on Klixey. This page covers the fundamentals: the URL it lives at, the identity fields, social links, publishing, and previewing the store.
Quick answer
Your store lives at klixey.com/your-slug by default. Open Store in the sidebar, then use Store Settings to set your store name, slug, description, avatar, support email, brand settings, social links, sharing settings, and custom domain. Flip the publish toggle to take the store live; flip it back to hide the public storefront while you edit.
Your store URL
Every workspace gets one store, and that store has one default URL:
text
klixey.com/your-slugThe slug is the part after the slash — pick something short, memorable, and tied to your brand. You can change it later (Klixey keeps the old slug working with a redirect — see Slug redirects).
A handful of slugs are reserved by Klixey (like lifetime, admin, portal, api). The editor blocks reserved slugs as you type.
Want your own domain?
On Business, Pro, and Scale plans you can swap the platform URL for your own — shop.yourbrand.com or yourbrand.com. See Custom domains.
Identity fields
Open Store in the sidebar. The right-hand editor panel holds everything about your store's identity. Every field autosaves the moment you finish typing — there's no Save button.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Store name | Shown at the top of your storefront and in browser tabs. |
| Slug | The URL after klixey.com/. Lowercase, dashes, no spaces. |
| Description | A short description below your store name. |
| Avatar | Your logo or profile picture (square, cropped in the upload modal). |
| Support email | The support address shown on checkout and confirmation pages. |
| Theme preset | A starting visual style. Apply, then customize colors, cards, text, and fonts. |
For brand-level details - colors, cards, text, and typography - see Brand profile.
Avatar
Click Upload Avatar or Change Avatar, pick an image, and crop it square in the modal that opens. The image is resized and re-encoded for you.
Support email
The email address customers see on checkout and confirmation pages. If you leave it blank, Klixey hides the support email from those pages.
Theme and fonts
Themes are starter visual styles. Pick one, then tweak primary color, background color, card treatment, text color, and heading/body fonts from the brand profile controls.
Social links
You can add up to 12 social links. They show as icons below your store description.
| Platform | Input style |
|---|---|
| Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitch | Handle (@yourhandle) |
| YouTube, Facebook, Spotify, Website | Full URL |
| Email address |
Pick a platform, type the handle, URL, or email address, and it saves. To remove a link, click the trash icon.
Publishing
A new store is created in the Published state. Visitors hitting klixey.com/your-slug see your storefront the moment your account exists.
If you want to hide your store while you build, flip the publish toggle to Unpublished. Visitors then see a placeholder instead of your storefront. Your editor still works as normal - only public visitors are blocked.
| State | What visitors see |
|---|---|
| Published | Your full storefront. |
| Unpublished | A simple placeholder page. |
Preview
While your store is unpublished - or even when it's published and you want a clean look - use the Preview button at the top of the Store page. It opens your storefront in a new tab using a private preview link that bypasses the unpublished placeholder.
The preview link is valid for one hour. Share it with collaborators or stakeholders who don't have a Klixey account; once it expires, generate a new one.
"View store" jumps to your real URL
The external-link button beside the Store URL field opens the storefront at whichever URL is public right now - your custom domain if you have one, otherwise klixey.com/your-slug.
