Emails you receive
Klixey sends you a handful of emails as you run your business — booking notifications, team updates, contact-limit warnings, and the like. This page is the field guide: what to expect, where it comes from, and what to do if you stop receiving them.
Quick answer
Klixey emails you about activity in your workspace — new bookings, event signups, team members joining, contact-limit warnings. Payment receipts and invoices for the things you sell come from your payment provider, not Klixey. The full subject-line reference is at Emails creators receive.
What Klixey emails you about
The main categories of emails that land in your inbox:
When you sign up
- Welcome email — a short note from Patrick, our founder, right after you create your account.
- Email verification — a quick link to confirm your address.
When you build a team
- Invite to join a workspace — if someone invites you to their workspace, you get the invite email.
- New team member joined — when an invite you sent is accepted, you get a notification.
When customers book or sign up
- New booking — when a customer books an appointment with you.
- Booking cancelled — when a customer cancels their own booking (the email includes their reason).
- Booking rescheduled — when a customer reschedules themselves (old time and new time both shown).
- Appointment reminders — optional reminders before each confirmed booking, so you don't miss it.
- New event signup — when someone signs up for one of your event slots.
- Event reminders — optional reminders before each event slot starts.
- Event slot cancellation confirmation — when you cancel a slot, you get a confirmation that all attendees were notified.
When you're approaching a contact limit
If you're on a lifetime plan with a contact cap, Klixey emails you at each stage:
| Stage | What you get |
|---|---|
| 80% of your limit | Heads-up email so you can plan ahead. |
| 100% — limit hit | "Grace period started" email — you have 14 days to upgrade or trim contacts. |
| 7 days left in grace | Reminder. |
| 1 day left in grace | Final reminder. |
| Grace ended | "New signups paused" — existing customers keep access. |
| Daily over the limit | A short digest of how many signups got blocked yesterday, while you're past grace. |
See Contact limit and grace period for the full sequence.
What goes to your customers, not you
Some emails are part of your store's experience but go directly to the buyer, not to your inbox:
- Course enrollment confirmations — when a customer buys or is enrolled in a course.
- Community welcome and removal — when someone joins or is removed from a community.
- Lead-magnet delivery — the free download email after a customer claims a lead magnet.
- Subscription lifecycle — welcome, renewal, payment failed, suspended, reactivated, cancelled. All go to the customer.
- Booking confirmations and reminders for the customer — yes, they get their own copy of every booking-related email.
Every one of these goes out in your store's branding, so your buyers see your name on the messages you trigger for them.
You're the sender on record
All store-related emails go out branded with your store name, logo, and reply-to address — not "Klixey". Your customers reply to you, not us.
What comes from your payment provider, not Klixey
Anything tied to a specific payment transaction comes from your payment provider directly:
- Payment receipts — when a customer is charged, they get a receipt straight from the payment provider.
- Invoice emails — for subscriptions, the invoice for each renewal.
- Failed-payment notices to the customer — when their card declines.
So if a buyer asks "where's my receipt?" — it'll be from your payment provider, not from your store. (Klixey doesn't double-send those.)
For receipts and invoices on your own Klixey plan (your monthly or annual subscription, if you're on one), those also come from your payment provider. To change which inbox they go to, update your address in Account → Profile.
Branding
Every Klixey email you send goes out with:
- Your store's avatar at the top of the header.
- Your store name as the sender.
- Your support email as the reply-to address — so customers reach you directly when they hit reply.
You can change the store name, avatar, and support email anytime in your store settings. See Workspace Settings for where those live.
If you stop receiving emails
A few things to check, in order:
- Check spam/junk. Most "missing email" cases turn up there. Move it to your inbox and add the sender to your contacts.
- Check your reply-to address. If you set a support email in store settings that no longer works, you might be sending replies into the void.
- Check your email provider's filters. Some corporate filters quietly route Klixey emails to a "Promotions" or "Notifications" folder.
- Still missing? Email
support@klixey.comand we'll check your delivery status — sometimes an address ends up on a deliverability block list after repeated bounces, and we can clear it.
