How notifications work

Klixey tells you about important activity in two ways:

  1. In-app — a bell icon with an unread badge in the header.
  2. Email — a message in your inbox.

Most things happen on both channels, so you'll see them whether you live in the app or in your inbox.

The notification bell

The bell lives at the top of the sidebar in the creator app (or the header on mobile). A red badge shows the count of unread items. Click the bell to open the dropdown — each row shows who acted, what they did, and how long ago.

From the dropdown, you can:

  • Click any item to jump straight to the source (the post, the comment, the customer).
  • Mark a single item as read.
  • Mark every item as read in one click.

Activity opens itself

You don't need to mark things read by hand — clicking a notification takes you to the thing it's about, and it's marked read as soon as you do.

What triggers both an in-app notification and an email

These happen on both channels — you'll see a bell entry and get an email.

  • A team member you invited accepts and joins your workspace
  • A customer books an appointment, reschedules, or cancels
  • A customer signs up for an event
  • A customer posts in your community
  • Someone comments on a post in your community
  • You cross 80% of your plan's contact limit, hit it, or pass the grace period

What's email-only

Some things only ever arrive by email — usually because they're transactional and you need a copy in your inbox:

  • Receipts and invoices for your Klixey plan
  • Contact-limit reminders during the 14-day grace period

See Emails creators receive for the full list with subject lines.

Who gets what

Some notifications go to more than one person. The rules:

  • Workspace-wide events (a new team member joining, a customer signing up for something) go to the workspace owner and admins.
  • Community events (new posts, comments) go to community admins and moderators in that community. Comments on a post also notify the post author.

Email turned off?

If you stop seeing emails you used to get, your address may have been added to a deliverability block list automatically (after bounces or spam complaints). Check your spam folder. If it's not there, see Troubleshooting.
